Old Dartmouth was the first area of Southeastern Massachusetts to be settled by Europeans, primarily English. Dartmouth is part of New England's farm coast, which consists of a chain of historic coastal villages, vineyards, and farms. June 8, 2014 marked the 350th year of Dartmouth's incorporation as a town.
Is Dartmouth MA a good place to live?
Great property taxes, great education system, great coastline, accessible healthcare, low crime and a welcoming community. I like how the people here are mostly friendly and very helpful. The rural town gives that cozy and peaceful feeling at times given how quiet the environment is and how nice the people are.
